Pakistan PM arrives in Kathmandu for two-day visit

Mar 5, 2018-Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived here in Kathmandu for a two-day official visit on Monday. He is leading a 32-member delegation.

Minister for Finance Yuvaraj Khatiwada and Secretary at Finance Ministery Shankar Dai Bairagi welcomed PM Abbasi at the VVIP Lounge in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu.

During his Nepal visit, Abbasi will congratulate Nepal’s leadership on the successful conclusion of its democratic process, resulting in the formation of a new government.

It has been learnt that the sole purpose of PM Abbasi’s visit was to take forward the stalled Saarc process, with Pakistan seeking to host the deferred summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) at the earliest in consultation with Nepal, the current chair of the regional grouping.

PM Abbasi was offered a guard of honour at the Army Pavillion in Tundikhel at 5 pm today

Ileana D’Cruz talks about dealing with depression, Body Dysmorphic Disorder

Bollywood actor Ileana D’Cruz, known to be an active advocate for mental health and seeking help for mental illnesses, recently spoke about her struggle with depression and Body Dysmorphic Disorder at the recently held 21st World Congress of Mental Health 2017 in Delhi

She said, “I was always a very self-conscious person and was picked on for my body type. I used to feel low and sad all the time but didn’t know I was suffering from depression and Body Dysmorphic Disorder till I got help. All I wanted to do was to be accepted by everyone,” as reported by India Today.

The Barfi actress had first revealed her illness and battle with depression in September this year and spoken about it in a bold video for a brand. She had said, "There was a period; approximately 3 years ago, I had gone from happy to being completely depressed and not knowing what it was. The most comforting thought for me was what if I end things now! And I thankfully realised that this is not right. I never thought I'd be somebody dealing with anxiety or depression." Since then the 29-year-old has been outspoken about taboos associated with mental illnesses in the society, and the importance of seeking help.

She has joined an increasing number of voices of Indian celebrities and influencers like Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar, and Honey Singh who are helping create awareness about mental health in the public space.

Ileana, who has been awarded the Woman of Substance Award for raising awareness about mental health, also said, “It is a chemical imbalance in your brain and needs to be treated. Don’t sit back and think it will get okay. If you have depression, seek help. I am not saying that I had this miraculous recovery. Everyday is a process; every day is a step towards healing yourself and getting better. You are a human being and are allowed to be imperfect, and you are allowed to be flawed. There is a lot of beauty in your imperfections, in your uniqueness.”

In the video, Ileana talks about battling with depression because she thought she is a misfit and constantly strived to be liked by others. She begins the video talking about how she has completed 11 years in the industry but that was not her plan. She explains, “I was shy, self conscious person once I hit my teens. I was constantly hit on for my body type. The obsession started when I was 15. My entire life goal was to be accepted by everyone. I never got it. I did not know I had body disorder. There was a period, approx three years ago. I was completely depressed. The most comforting thought was to end things. But I realised it did not seem right.”

सिरहा नगरपालिकाको उम्मेदवारको टिकट विवाद सुल्झाउन कांग्रेस सिरहाका सभापति रामचन्द्र यादव, सांसद पदमनारायण चौधरी, गणेश मण्डल, मोख्तार अहमदले बुधबार असन्तुष्टसहित दुवै पक्षलाई छलफलमा विवाद मिलाउने प्रयास गरेका थिए । सदरमुकाम सिरहास्थित पार्टी कार्यालयमा भएको छलफलमा बिहान ११ बजेतिर सिरहा नगरपालिकाका मेयरका उम्मेदवार सुभास यादव पक्षले छलफलकै क्रममा भनाभन हुन थालेपछि कार्यकर्ताबीच कुटाकुट, ढुंगा, लाठी प्रहार भएको सभापति रामचन्द्र यादवले जानकारी दिए । 

आक्रमणमा सिरहा नगरपालिका २१ का कांग्रेस क्षेत्र नम्वर ३ का सभापति सन्जयप्रकाश यादव, सिरहा १५ का रामबाबु यादव,  २ नम्वर वडाका सुधन यादव, मुकेश, वुधन, अरुण, राजेश्वर, देवनारायण साह, १ नम्वर वडाका जगदीश यादव, कामेश्वर यादव घाइते भएका छन् । उनीहरुलाई थप उपचारका लागि विराटनगर पठाइएको सिरहा प्रहरी प्रमुख एसपी शेखर कोइरालाले जानकारी दिए । घाइते अधिकांशको टाउकोमा चोट लागेको छ । घाइते सिरहा १ का रामभगत यादव र साने यादवको स्थानीय अस्पतालमा उपचार भइरहेको छ । दुवैतर्फको आक्रमणबाट तनाव बढेपछि प्रहरीले दिउँसो स्थिति नियन्त्रण लिएको थियो । 

‘सिरहा नगरपालिकामा मेयरको टिकट सुभास यादवले पाएपछि वडासहित मेयरकोको विषयमा कांग्रेस जिल्ला सचिव उपेन्द्र यादव पक्षबीच विवाद बढेको थियो’ सभापति रामचन्द्र यादवले भने ‘छलफलकै क्रममा हाताहाल र आक्रमण हुनु राम्रो काम होइन, यो पार्टी हितविपरीत छ ।’

घाइते सिरहा क्षेत्र नम्वर ३ का सभापति सञ्जयप्रकाश यादवले दुई पक्षबीच सहमति हुनलाग्दा आफूहरुमाथि आक्रमण भएको बताए । कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताबीच कुटाकुट भएपछि सिरहा नगरपालिकामा उम्मेदवार मनोनयन दर्ता समेत ढिलाई भएको थियो । राति अबेरसम्म सिरहामा मनोनयन दर्ता भएको निर्वाचन कार्यालयले जनाएको छ ।

उनका अनुसार अहिले नेपाली प्रहरीलाई जिल्लाभर ‘छ्यापछ्याप्ती’ बनाइएको छ । सशस्त्र प्रहरी परिचालन व्यापक छ । नेपाली सेनाले पनि गस्ती थालेको छ ।

‘अति संवेदनशील, संवेदनशील र सामान्य क्षेत्रमा विभाजन गरेर सुरक्षा रणनीति बनाएका छौं,’ उनले भने,‘थप सुरक्षाकर्मी आउने क्रम जारी छ ।’ जिल्लामा सिमावर्ती नगरपालिकाकालाई अति संवेदनशील मानिएको छ । 

त्यसैले जिल्लाका सिमा जोडिएका भारतीय सितामढी र चम्पारणका समकक्षी सित वार्ता गरेर चुनाव अवधीभर सिमा ‘शिल’ गर्ने तयारी भएको प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी थापाले बताए । उनका अनुसार सितामढीका सरकारी अधिकारीसित यसअघि नै सुरक्षा सम्बन्धमा बैठक भइसक्यो । 

चम्पारणका सरकारी अधिकारीसँग भोलि बिहीबार वीरगंजमा संयुक्त बैठक बस्दै छ ।

रविना र प्रियंकाको यस्तो सेल्फी

नायिका प्रियंका कार्की अहिले चलचित्रको भन्दा प्रेमको रंगले बढी रंगिएकी छिन् । नायक आयुष्मान देशराज जोशीसँगको प्रेमका कारण प्रियंका कार्की चर्चित छिन् । आयुष्मान र प्रियंका प्राय एकसाथ हुन्छन् ।

प्रियंका आयुष्मानसँग मात्र होइन, उनको परिवारसँग पनि नजिक छिन् । आयुष्मानकी आमा बैंकर रविना देसराजसँग पनि प्रियंका निकै नजिक छिन् । केही समय अगाडि अनलाइनखबरसँग कुरा गर्दै रविना र प्रियंकाले आफूहरुको निकटता प्रष्ट पारेका थिए । जुन भिडियो तपाइले यहाँ हेर्न सक्नुहुनेछ ।

उनै,प्रियंकाले आफ्नो इन्स्ट्राग्राममा एउटा तस्बिर शेयर गरेकी छिन् । रविनासँग प्रियंकाले शेयर गरेको तस्बिरमा उनीहरु हट देखिएका छन् । स्विमिङका लागि तयार भएपछि यी दुइले तस्बिर लिएका थिए ।

युएईस्थित नेपाली दूतावासद्वारा ५१ मानव तस्करको नाम सार्वजनिक

भाद्र १९, २०७४ संयुक्त अरव इमिरेट्स (युएई) स्थित नेपाली दूतावासले गैरकानुनी ढंगले कामदार ओसारपसार गर्ने ५१ जना दलाल, ठग र मानवतस्करको नाम सार्वजनिक गरेको छ । दुतावासले आज विज्ञप्ती जारी गर्दै कारवाहीका लागि उनीहरुको नाम सार्वजनिक गरेको जनाएको छ । उद्दारको लागि पुगेका पीडित नेपाली महिला र पुरुषले दिएको उजुरीका आधारमा दूतावासले कानुनी कारबाही गर्नका लागि ती व्यक्तिको नाम सार्वजनिक गरेको हो । दूतावासका प्रवक्ता कृष्ण अर्यालकाअनुसार पीडितमध्ये ७१ जनाले उजूरी दिएका थिए । कारबाही गर्नुपर्ने तस्करमा नेपाल र युएईमा रहेका नेपाली नागरिक तथा ट्राभल एजेन्सी समेत छन् । दूतावासले सार्वजनिक गरेको सूचीमा राजिव मल्ल, केशव शिवाकोटी, रेणु सिवाकोटी शाहतेली, ईश्वर श्रेष्ठ, टंक सुवेदी क्यापिटल रिक्रुट्मेन्ट सर्भिसेस लिमिटेड, राकेश खडायत, कुवेर रानाभाट, अन्नपुर्ण ट्राभल्सका विवेक श्रेष्ठ र सुवास श्रेष्ठ, मरिशरण दाश भिक्टोरिया मेनपावर लगायत छन् । दुतावासको विज्ञप्तीमा भनिएको छ, 'सार्वजनिक भएका मानव तस्करलाई कानुनी दायरामा ल्याइ आवश्यक कारवाही गर्नका लागि सहयोग गर्नुहुन तथा उनीहरुसंग सचेत हुन समेत सबैमा जानकारी गराइन्छ ।' साथै, दुतावासले काम गर्नका लागि पर्यटन भिषामा नभई कानुन बमोजिम मान्यता प्राप्त रिक्रुट्मेन्ट एजेन्सी मार्फत जान समेत आग्रह गरेको छ । दूतावासले  पीडितका उजुरीका आधारमा ३३ जना महिलालाई सेल्टरमा राखेर उद्दार गरेको जनाएको छ । यस्तै, भिजिट भिसामा पुगेर अलपत्र परेका ३८ जनालाई उद्दार गरेको दुतावासले जनाएको छ ।  प्रकाशित:भाद्र १९, २०७४
